Atelier di Loppia stands on the waterfront at Loppia, a small fishing village set along the shores of Lake Como within walking distance of Villa Melzi's celebrated gardens. The building—an 1800s blacksmith's workshop—has been restored to preserve its industrial heritage whilst opening the structure to the lake through generous glazing that frames views across the water. The property extends to 280 square metres across two levels, with an additional 80 square metres of covered terrace, accommodating six guests in a setting where the original character of the workshop sits comfortably alongside contemporary finishes.

Bellagio's lakeside promenade and historic centre lie 15 minutes walking-distance, whilst the ferry connections that link the lake's principal towns provide access to Varenna within thirty minutes. Villa Carlotta and its botanical collections can be reached in 20 minutes walking or 5 minutes by car, with the town of Como and its cathedral requiring just over fifty minutes driving. Milan, with its international airport and the cultural offerings of the city centre, sits a little over an hour's drive to the south.

The interior maintains an open-plan arrangement across both floors, where the original workshop proportions have been retained and natural light enters through the large windows that define the lakefront elevation. A marble kitchen anchors the living spaces, which flow onto the covered terrace and the gardens beyond. An underground wine cellar provides storage for guests wishing to explore the region's vintages during their stay.

The property's lakefront position provides direct access to the water through a private dock, whilst a small plunge pool occupies the garden with views across the lake. The outdoor spaces include an alfresco dining area and lounge seating arranged within the private garden. The villa's location within Loppia village means that certain outdoor areas are visible from the surrounding neighbourhood—a characteristic of the waterfront setting rather than a limitation, and one that connects guests to the rhythms of this traditional fishing community.

Atelier di Loppia is only available through a limited number of agencies personally approved by the property's owner—a distinction that reflects both the villa's calibre and the standard of service expected by those who stay here.
