Argegno occupies a position in the lake's central basin, with views stretching both north and south across the water. Milan Malpensa Airport is approximately 1 hour by car, and Como town can be reached in less than 40 minutes by bus or 25 minutes by express ferry. From Argegno's pier, boats connect to Bellagio, Varenna, and Menaggio—the celebrated trio of villages at the lake's heart. A cable car ascends from the village to Pigra, a hamlet perched 880 metres above the lake, where hiking trails lead to panoramic viewpoints that few visitors discover. Taxi boat services can be arranged for exploring the lake in style, and seaplane tours, water skiing, wakeboarding, and cycling excursions are all available.
