Formerly an abandoned fisherman’s house and now fully renovated by the owners, a pair of Austrian architects, Villa Praiano is a stylish sanctuary hidden amongst lemon groves and terraced gardens. This family villa for rent in the Amalfi Coast combines the services of a boutique hotel with the comfort and quiet of a private home, perfect whether you are looking to hide out and relax by the pool or down to the private rocky beach, or if you are after the glamour and bustle of the nearby Positano.
Due to its hillside position, the charming village of Praiano doesn’t have much of a centre, but it’s worth exploring to find the church, artisan boutiques and cheerful pizzerias. From the village, head straight uphill and join the famous Sentiero degli Dei (or Path of the Gods) hiking trail which takes you all the way to Positano.
Villa Praiano can accommodate up to 14 guests in seven carefully decorated room, all en suite. All rooms have television and DVD players with a library of classic movies. The rooms on the top floor have access to a wide roof terrace. One of the bedrooms is located in a separate building across the garden and has its own terrace.
