Villa Monterosso sits on the slopes of Mount Etna in Monterosso, a residential hamlet of Viagrande approximately 20 minutes from Catania. The property occupies a former winemaking facility whose original facade has been retained, whilst the interior has been renovated in a contemporary style that contrasts with the building's agricultural past. The villa accommodates 8 guests across 3 floors.

The property lies within the DOC wine region that benefits from Etna's volcanic soils. Mount Etna itself can be reached in 30 minutes for guided excursions across its slopes and craters. Catania, with its baroque architecture and daily fish market, is 20 minutes to the south. Taormina and its Greek theatre sit approximately an hour to the north, whilst Siracusa and the island of Ortigia are an hour's drive in the opposite direction. The nearest beaches at Santa Tecla are approximately 25 minutes away. The nearest town is a 5-minute drive, and a car is recommended for exploring the wider area.

The interiors are modern and minimalist, arranged around a double-height living room with vaulted frescoed ceiling, contemporary glass fireplace, and floating shelving. Large windows flood the space with natural light throughout the day. A fully equipped kitchen with central cooking island opens onto a covered terrace suited for morning breakfasts and al fresco dinners. The style is clean and uncluttered rather than traditional, favouring open space and natural light over ornamental detail. A caretaker lives on the premises in separate quarters, ensuring privacy whilst remaining available for assistance.

The grounds extend across 30,000 square feet of manicured garden planted with mature pine trees. A 17x10-metre infinity-edge saltwater swimming pool—complete with sun beds and umbrellas—forms the centrepiece of the outdoor area, with an outdoor shower nearby. A glass-walled sun room beside the pool provides a shaded space for lounging away from the sun. The garden offers ample space for children to play and for guests seeking quiet corners away from the main terrace.
