From the village marina, boat excursions can be arranged to the islands of Mortorio and Soffi, to the Tavolara Marine Protected Area, or north to the wild, granite shores of the Maddalena Archipelago. Porto Rotondo's Piazzetta San Marco is lined with cafés, restaurants, and boutiques, and just off the square the Church of San Lorenzo—designed by sculptors Cascella and Ceroli, its interior carved entirely from Russian pine—is one of Sardinia's most remarkable contemporary works of art.
